Interesting post.  I have one question though.  You mention a way to product alpha brain waves is through neurofeedback.  I don’t quite understand this process and how I would go about utilizing neurofeedback to gain alpha brain waves.  I can see this would help you sleep really well.  Am I right on that assumption?  I don’t meditate, and I am not really sure about brain wave entrainment.  The neurofeedback seems like the best route for me.

Interesting read!  A few years ago I was diagnosed with something called “Shift-work Sleep Disorder” in which I had to have a sleep study done.  I honestly didn’t even know this was a thing!  They thought at first that I had narcolepsy but due to the “times” I was falling asleep, wasn’t exactly what was taking place.  As long as my mind or brain was actively engaged with something – A task, a conversation etc.. I would stay awake.  However when I would sit down to watch a movie – even when going to the theatre, if I was not “into the movie” almost immediately, within a few minutes my body was as if it was shutting down and I could sleep through the entire movie.  Same with reading books – If my mind wasn’t mentally stimulated fast enough, I would fall asleep. 

    I found the information on your site very interesting and I have added it to my bookmarks as I definitely would like to return when I finish taking my kids to the park this afternoon.
